(TITC) – On the evening of June 30 (local time), in Munich, Germany, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a program to introduce Vietnamese tourism. This event is part of a series of promotional activities for tourism in Europe.
Present at the program were Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Counsellor – Head of the Investment Department, Embassy of Vietnam in Germany; leaders of departments and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; along with a large number of delegates and international guests…
Speaking at the program, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Ha Van Sieu said that Germany is a key market for Vietnamese tourism in Europe. In recent years, the Vietnam-Germany relationship has been continuously strengthened and developed strongly in many areas such as politics, economics, trade, investment, education, science, culture, and tourism. The two countries share many common values, including respect for heritage, culture, and sustainable development. The program to introduce Vietnamese tourism is not only a simple tourism promotion activity but also a vivid symbol of the connection between two countries with a long-standing friendly and cooperative relationship.

German tourists and other European Countries are benefiting from the visa exemption policy for entering Vietnam, and from August 15, 2023, the temporary residence period has been extended to 45 days. The airline connection system between the two countries is increasingly developing, with regular direct flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, facilitating travel, exchange, and tourist interactions.
Heritage tourism products in Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, and Ninh Binh offer a journey to explore the depth of Vietnam’s history, architecture, and culture. In Hanoi and Hue, visitors can admire ancient structures, discover royal culinary arts, and traditional culture. Hoi An, with its moss-covered ancient houses, sparkling lantern festivals, and experiences of a day working in agriculture, along with Ninh Binh – the beautiful land of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, are attractive stops for travelers who love peace and ancient beauty. Nature tours such as exploring Ha long Bay – a natural wonder of the world, trekking in Sa Pa – a majestic land with unique ethnic minorities, or discovering the magnificent cave systems in Phong Nha – Ke Bang (in Quang Binh) and the mysterious Highlands will immerse travelers in the spectacular beauty of Vietnam’s nature. Island and beach tourism combined with cultural experiences in Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hoi An, and Quy Nhon are also increasingly attracting German tourists.
Counselor – Head of the Investment Department at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, stated that the program to introduce Vietnamese tourism is a key part of the Cultural Tourism Festival of Vietnam in the European market. The program aims to showcase the special values of Vietnamese tourism to German friends – from cuisine, traditional craft villages to sustainable tourism products.
